no, but their lack of a confirmation is itself a confirmation that the answer is no

I hope this isn't true. If it is, I'm depressed, very depressed.

I'm sorry, but I think this is faulty logic. Just as they are not "leaking" information about other aspects of Factions, this may be something that they are keeping under lock and key. My personal opinion is that there should be more personal storage space because you'll have two more characters. For myself, I'll be purchasing two copies of Factions, and I'm sure one acct will be purely a mule

Actually I'd go with Snowmans view of caution.

I'm sure Anet has a reason for this, but they aint saying.

im sure the storage space will increase.... either at first or in time. i also think that the idea of a guild storage that officers an leaders could only access would be nice it would help more people maintain a guild with people they know an play with alot instead of creating guilds an spaming "join now become a officer" guilds like this fail shortly. This guild storage would be an excellent idea for sure. As only leader/officers could access it.

Yup, definately sounding like Anets ploy into getting more GW copies sold. Which i'm not pleased with, because this has been a highly requested feature that has been swept under the carpet many times...
(and if it's not why has it been kept such a secret?)

I've supported GW by buying their CE like alot of others have. But that's not enough, i've got to buy more copies and waste time unlocking all my crap again on them? No Thanks.

Oh well, hopefully there won't be that many items i'm intrested in storing, so i'll just use my 2 lesser played pve characters as full time mules.

Guild storage could turn out to be a nightmare. Even with only leader and officers with access. Get one of them disgruntled they could clean it out and quit. Matter of fact you will get people joining guilds trying to make it to Officer or temp leader solely for that reason.

no it would not.

it would be exactly the same as the present storage vaults in each town except this one would only be accessable in the guild hall to guild members.

only you have access to your stuff.

same as you go to the storage vault in lions arch in the middle of a crowd and get your stuff and leave.

If that's what they are implementing than that would be fine. But no one knows what they are going to implement and everyone has all this talk about only certain people would have access.

Who knows what they will come up with. If what you say is correct then the X-storage agents would be the same just give us more slots or make a different agent with different account. Like "smitty's storage" you pay to get a new account only accessible at smitty's storage people. Wouldn't be fair to create that new person in only the Guild Hall. People that aren't currently in a guild would be left out.

you know, I really do hope that I can turn around to you, take my hat off and stand corrected.

but to keep this information under lock and key is doing MORE damage that it is good... I just cant see any advantage to not telling us.

ANET loves to give good news, and hates to give bad news.

Would expanding personal storage be so hard? We currently have a box with room for 20 items at the Xunlai agents, plus room for 45 more on each character. All my toons run very slowly due to the weight they are carrying around with them...

Why not have an option to buy another box at the Xunlai agents? Instead of one box opening when you click on them, all your boxes do (maximum of 6 maybe?) Make it expensive if necessary - after all, the people who want it most will be farmers and can afford it.

Would it really impact that much on bandwidth? And disk space cant be a problem surely, the Megabytes/buck ratio has never been higher.

I very much doubt it, there is no way they can be 'at capacity' with their bandwidth and disk space.

They could even charge a rental for the extra storage space and have it as a gold sink.

I mean, it cant be a very profitable business for the Xunlai can it ?.. 50 gold peices to give you storage everywhere for life!...

i'm sure i remember hearing from either gaile or 1 of the dev interviews that guild storage was set to be in ch2.i have also had a small conversation with gaile(sometime around the wintersday festival) on the subject of seperate armor and holiday item storage, which she liked and said would push for.

put i also noticed something she said on the first visit she made on the fpe end day.which was basicaly that she said something about the devs looking into selling extra char and storage slots.so i all the old talk of extra storage could now be out of the window thx to many posters who keep bringing the fact that they would pay for more up in the forums.

if this is what is going to happen then it will be (imho) yet another imbalance in favor of those with more spare cash, just the same as the e-bay buyers and the multi account holders have now.i myself have 2 accounts and can see i have a advantage in being able to use any of the profs and hence never have any trouble getting a group because i can be what ever the team needs.and of course the e-bay issue is obvious so no need to touch on that subject.

You have to be carefull here, I heard something similar at the time, but if you look closer you will notice that she ACTAULLY means having a Xunlai agent at the guild hall.. NOT guild-storage!

Im really struggling to see how you come to this conclusion.

The price for a storage box from a Xunlai agent is 50gold (if I remember correctly) which I was able to purchase straight out of pre-searing!

hardly a balance issue.

Unless of course they considerably raised the price of extra storage!

Even then... cmon.. look at 15k armour... EVERYONE has it!.. thats 5 peices of armour x15'000 gold peices.. 75'000 gold peices! plus the materials!

In order for it to be something that only the "richest" people could afford and actually make it a balance concern..the price would have to be absoloulty astronomical!!!

Thats not even taking into consideration that people dont really run out of storage until they have at least 2/3 Role playing characters.. by which time money, or their ability to obtain money is not an issue.

I think DJ Josh was talking about buying space with RL money.

For those that can't open, it basically says that the Storage Issue is high priority, and new ideas are being worked on, including "not requiring slots for all kinds of items."

Also, it will be a free update coming soon!

Their are a few ways that they can go about this. But storage is a big thing and i'm happy that its a high proirity on their part. I have so many materials that i have my Ranger holden them as a mule, so that i can keep them.
